Letter to the Editor workshop 4.23.2020
Note: This training is offered in Pacific time--all are welcome.
Learn how to write--and get published--an effective Letter to the Editor (LTE). This is a terrific way to advocate for climate action and environmental justice on the local, state and national levels.
Join us for an interactive online training where you'll learn a "formula" and other tips for composing a powerful LTE--and leave with a rough draft you can polish and submit to a newspaper the next day! (If time is short, you can attend for the first part only and then finish your LTE on your own time.)
This training will be hosted on Zoom. The link will be sent the day before the training to those who RSVP below. Note: You must check "Send me email updates" in order for us to send you the Zoom link.
Heads up: Be on the look-out for an article in your local newspaper that you'd like to respond to in an LTE. We'll also send a couple of good articles the day before to those who RSVP. You can choose to write about why we need to divest from fossil fuels (the theme of today's Earth Week Live)--or you can write about another climate solution. The point is to elevate your voice and your perspective! Join us to learn how!
