Let's gear up for September 20th's Silicon Valley Youth Climate Strike, March & Rally in San Jose!

Join us for a fun night of lettering, painting, coloring, music, pizza and drinks. No artistic talent or experience necessary! There will be materials for handheld posters, larger signs, stencils, and a former teacher and artist to guide you.

The event is free to those who RSVP, though donations are welcome to offset our costs. Come make some art with us and channel your creativity into calls for climate action!

Silicon Valley Climate March & Rally!

Friday, September 20, 2019 at 02:45 PM · 34 rsvps

Greta Thunberg, the amazing 16-year-old Swedish climate activist who has been striking for the climate every Friday for the past year, has called on adults to join students in peaceful demonstrations for bold climate action on Friday, September 20th. With millions of youth and adults mobilizing all over the world and the country, this is likely to be the largest protest for climate justice in the planet's history.

Come help us make history and have our kids' backs, so that they don't have to fight for a livable climate alone.

RSVP below and participate in any or all of these ways (times are approximate):

12:30-1:30pm: Some students will walk out of school or hold events at their schools to spotlight the climate crisis

2:45-3:00pm: Youth and adults will gather at San Jose's Diridon Station (65 Cahill St.)

3:00-4:00pm: March <1 mile from Diridon Station to San Jose City Hall (200 E. Santa Clara St.)

4:00-5:00pm: Rally at San Jose City Hall with inspiring speakers, cheers and food!

As climate hero Bill McKibben says: "One can be excused for despairing, but not for walking away. Especially at the most desperate moments, human solidarity is required. If a kid says help, you help."

Please RSVP below to help with planning and logistics--and to show how many people care. Thank you!
